  Adhoc Relief @1% of Export Value
   Government of Pakistan has decided to give interim relief to Footwear Sector in shape of additional duty drawback @1% of export value from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. Exporters will submit their bank statements indicating quarterly exports to PFMA who will return the same to the company after verification. The companies will submit the same to TDAP at their ends.

6.      Training of Technical Manpower Related to Footwear Industry

There is a dire need of an institute equipped with latest technology including CAD / CAM systems. The Footwear Industry lacks technical hands and supervisory staff, essential to meet

the challenges of world market for promoting exports. Trade Development Authority of Pakistan is in the process of establishing different faculties including footwear in the new Campus of Pakistan School of Fashion Design being constructed at Johar Town Lahore. To  provide all necessary technical advisory assistance to TDAP needed to complete the project.

7.    Membership of Related Associations

Maintain membership of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and any other related organizations of footwear and procure from them such information, as may likely to forward the objects of the Association.

8.     Information Cell

To keep the members abreast with the latest developments in the footwear world and the new innovations, the cell will collect all relevant information available on e-system and world magazines to pass it on to the members in short time.

9.       Maintenance of Library

To add more useful material during 2009-10 on fashion design, design patterns, design models, manufacturing industry, latest footwear technology, footwear related magazines, gazettes, trade directories, handouts of foreign manufacturers / companies.
